aquatic personal training |
Whatever your fitness or wellness goals, the water is a great place to pursue them. Whether you are managing a chronic illness, healing from injury or surgery or wanting to strength train, we can design a program for you.
- Manage pain or chronic conditions: Back pain, joint pain, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, diabetes - these and many other conditions have been shown to benefit from aquatic exercise. Get in the warm water and move and play the way your body is meant to move: in all different planes of motion and without pain. People with spinal cord injuries or those who are post-stroke enjoy particular benefit by working in the water, being free to move in the near zero-gravity environment in ways that may not be achievable on land.
- Bridge from therapy to fitness: Finished your physical therapy but not ready to exercise on your own? Training in the water is gentle on the joints, yet effective for building muscle. We can continue your rehabilitation, then transition you to an overall fitness regimen.
- Start a fitness routine: The water is a great place to begin if you are just getting started: it is low (or no) impact, yet offers significant opportunity for strength and cardio work, without the muscle soreness experienced on land.
